The A.C.Coy company has an immediate opening for a Microsoft Purview Data Governance Consultant. Ideal candidates must have multiple experiences implementing Purview Data Loss Prevention for email and files in multnational organizations.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a Microsoft Purview Data Governance Consultant to support our clients transition to a new Data Classification standard, executing Microsoft Purview Admin configuration.
- Develop and advise on a comprehensive implementation strategy to support the implementation of the Microsoft Purview Data Governance.
- Conduct analysis and identify potential resistance points on how Global Azure Admins have thus far started the implementation.
- Create technical documentation to effectively convey the benefits and importance of best practices when implementing Microsoft Purview Data Governance - Data Classification. This documentation is to be used by employees who support and maintain our Azure tenancy.
- Engage with key stakeholders from several functional areas and countries (different time zones), including senior management, project team members, and end-users, to build awareness and support for the Data Classification initiative.
- Facilitate technical workshops and meetings to gather feedback, address concerns, and foster collaboration as appropriate.
- Assess training needs and develop a training program for technical employees on data classification principles, processes, and tools.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create technical training materials, user guides, and FAQs to support the needs of our technical staff who will need to make changes to our implementation.
- Identify and assess the impact of the Data Classification initiative on our existing Azure tenancy, related systems, and workflows.
- Work closely with functional areas (Azure SME, SEIM, Information Security Incidence Response, etc.) to understand their specific requirements and tailor the implementation approach accordingly.
- Provide guidance and recommendations on process improvements to align with the Data Classification standard.
- Leverage previous implementation experiences in to identify lessons learned, best practices, and potential pitfalls.
- Develop metrics and measurement frameworks to assess the effectiveness and success of the Data Classification implementation.
- Regularly monitor any Azure anomalies related to Purview, Azure SME feedback, and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, math, or related subject, and a significant level of practical experience. Master's degree is a plus.
- Microsoft Purview Data Governance (Data Loss Prevention for email and files), preferably in large-scale Data Classification or Corporate Information Security projects.
- Strong knowledge of Data Classification principles, tools, and best practices.
- Experience working with multinational organizations and familiarity with the challenges and nuances of implementing Data Classification across different geographies and cultures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Certification in any Microsoft technical discipline is a plus.
- DLP, IDS/IPS implementation is a plus.
- Knowledge of the manufacturing industry is a plus.
